The family of Bailey Knight would like to thank everyone for their support after her sledding accident. Everyone has been so supportive
and words cannot express our appreciation. Bailey is a miracle girl now. She wanted to go home after her 18 hour surgery SO bad that
the doctors decided she would be better off healing at home rather than being so upset in the hospital. So she came home at
least a week earlier than what was predicted. She goes back on Thursday this week for checkups with all of her doctors. God has certainly
performed miracles for her this past week! Her parents received a call today from a Detroit area TV station that wants to use her
story to caution people about sledding and it's potential dangers.
There were two people who really helped out with Bailey at the camp
and we have asked everyone we can think of who they are and no one seems to know. We do know that the lady was a nurse and there was
a guy that also helped. We are not sure if he was her husband or even for sure if he was with her, but they were also Godsends. We
would like to thank them personally. If anyone knows who these people are or if you happen to be reading this, please let us know.
When
we formed the Lake Association one of it's purposes was to connect the people with each other in a positive way. And boy has that
happened! Hopefully our connections will continue but under better circumstances.
I can assure you that you will see Bailey and all
her cousins at the lake this summer and we encourage you all to stop and say hello or just a friendly wave will be acknowledged. Stay
tuned for further updates on Bailey's condition, but as we see it they will continue to be upbeat and positive.
Once again, thank you
all for your support!
